How witty-stone began
It started with a question one of our founders asked at a family dinner: "Why do we always do things this way?" There was a long pause. No one had a good answer. The tradition existed because it had always existed, not because it meant anything to the people at the table.
That moment sparked a realization. Most of our rituals—whether at home or at work—are inherited defaults. We follow them out of habit, not intention. And when something stops meaning anything, it becomes just another obligation.
Our approach brings people together to co-create what matters
The philosophy behind our work
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every family is different. Every company has its own culture. So why would we try to give you someone else's traditions?
Instead, we facilitate the process of discovery. We help you uncover what you actually value, what brings your people together, and what kind of rituals would strengthen those bonds. Then we help you design traditions that reflect those discoveries.
The result isn't just another corporate team-building exercise or forced family activity. It's something people genuinely look forward to. Something that feels authentic because it came from them.
Our approach is different
Most consultants tell you what to do. We ask you what matters. Most tradition builders give you templates. We help you create originals. Most facilitators impose their vision. We draw out yours.
This work requires deep listening, cultural sensitivity, and creative thinking. It's why we limit the number of clients we take on each quarter. Meaningful traditions can't be mass-produced.
Who we work with
Our clients range from multigenerational families wanting to strengthen their bonds, to startups trying to build intentional culture from day one, to established companies realizing their old rituals no longer fit who they've become.
What they all have in common is a willingness to question assumptions and a desire to create something meaningful. If that sounds like you, we should talk.
"What impressed me most wasn't just the traditions we created, but how the process itself brought our team closer. The conversations we had during the workshops revealed things we'd never talked about before. The traditions were the outcome, but the real transformation happened along the way."— Marcus Thompson, CEO of Threadline Collective
Let's create something meaningful together
Whether you're a parent, a leader, or simply someone who believes that the rituals we practice should reflect the values we hold, we'd love to help you design traditions that truly matter.
